Maricom Systems Awarded $9.6 Million to Provide Contact Center Operations for the Department of Health and Human Services Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (ERRP)
BALTIMORE, Dec. 2, 2010 Maricom Systems, Inc. (www.maricom.com) announced today that it has been awarded a $9.6 million contract, should all options be exercised, with the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to provide Contact Center operations for the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (ERRP).
Congress enacted the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (ERRP) under the Affordable Care Act on March 23, 2010 to encourage the retention of employer-sponsored health benefits coverage and to lower cost of these benefits to early retirees and their families. The ERRP will reimburse employers and other plan sponsors for a portion of the costs incurred in providing continued group health benefits to early retirees and their eligible dependents.
Under the ERRP Contact Center award, the Maricom Team will respond to telephone and written inquiries, and requests for other forms of technical support. The ERRP Contact Center will provide a single point of contact for plan sponsors, and will be critical to the program's success.
