MANCHESTER, N.H., Feb. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- MVC Eye Care recently welcomed Dr. Lisa Holtman, O.D., as a resident, in association with the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. "Lisa has a great passion for helping people, and a particular interest in working with children who are struggling in school," said Dr. Kevin Chauvette, O.D., F.C.O.V.D., owner of MVC Eye Care.
Dr. Holtman, who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bemidji State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and recently earned her Doctor of Optometry from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry, has a specialty in pediatrics vision therapy and neurorehabilitation. Dr. Holtman and Dr. Chauvette both provide specialty care for patients recovering from brain injury and stroke, and travel to see patients at five different outpatient rehab hospitals.
"We see patients who have recently recovered from a stroke, brain surgery, or trauma, and all those problems can have a devastating effect on vision," noted Dr. Chauvette. "We provide solutions to this, whether through optical means or vision therapy."
In addition to Dr. Holtman joining the team, MVC Eye Care, which has branches in Manchester, Merrimack, Milford and Windham, is celebrating twenty years of donating glasses to the needy.
