WASHINGTON, May 10 At 10:15 am on Wednesday, May 19th, Capitol Visitor Center - Senate Room #200, the Overlapping Conditions Alliance, in cooperation with The Congressional Caucus for Women's Issues is launching the Campaign to End Chronic Pain in Women, an advocacy campaign fighting to end discrimination and improve care for women suffering from chronic pain.

The Campaign aims to improve the quality of women's lives by raising awareness of chronic pain conditions that disproportionately impact women, as well as the neglect, dismissal and discrimination faced by women suffering from chronic pain. The Campaign's groundbreaking report, to be unveiled during the press conference, will outline the challenge and offer recommended policy solutions that could save billions in wasted health care costs each year. The launch will also feature the premier of the short Campaign film, Through the Maze: Women and Pain, and the unveiling of the Campaign website www.EndWomensPain.org.

U.S. Representatives Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Lois Capps (D-CA) and Janice Schakowsky (D-IL) will attend the event and provide opening remarks, along with organizational leaders of the Overlapping Conditions Alliance.
