MEDIA ADVISORY: National Business Group on Health to Hold Press Briefing on Health Care Benefit Plan Changes at Large Employers
WASHINGTON, August 16, 2010 - The National Business Group on Health will host a press briefing on Wednesday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. EDT at the National Press Club to discuss the results of a survey of large employers on changes they are making to their health care benefit programs in the wake of the new health care reform law. Helen Darling, president of the National Business Group on Health, will offer the first look at how employers are revising their benefit plan designs for 2011, including cost sharing arrangements, consumer directed plans, wellness and financial incentives, pharmacy benefits and retiree medical benefits. Helen will discuss what impact these changes will have on workers and will also preview some of the changes employees can expect to see when they receive their forthcoming open enrollment packages.
The survey, "Large Employers' 2011 Health Plan Design Changes," is one of the few surveys conducted in mid-year just as employers are finalizing their programs for the following year.
