At Noon on Saturday, August 2, Scott Peters, President of the CityCouncil, will be on hand to welcome Longs Pharmacy at a ribbon cuttingceremony. Store Manager Kevin Kennedy, Pharmacy Manager Peter Wanningham andall of the associates at the new Longs Pharmacy at 5495 La Jolla Blvd invitethe community to visit Longs' second location in La Jolla in the community ofBird Rock. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, there will be festivitiesincluding games, prizes, free samples and a special grand opening sale.

The store is approximately 8,000 square-feet and offers services inpharmacy, wellness, beauty and convenience. The Longs Pharmacy is designed toincrease the interaction between pharmacists and customers and the wellnessarea includes broad assortments of vitamins, supplements, and health foods.
The beauty department is designed to encourage customers to spend timebrowsing, testing and touching the skin care and cosmetic product offering.
The convenience food area, which includes dry cereal, snacks, mealsolutions, dairy and frozen foods, is designed for quick fill-in trips betweengrocery store visits. The new Longs Pharmacy also features digital photoprocessing capabilities and expert services.
An important feature of this location is 32 spaces of underground parkingavailable to provide more convenience for Longs' customers.
