LifeSync Hires Dr. Mark Phelps to Lead Research & Development

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb. 20 LifeSync Corporation ispleased to announce the appointment of Mark Phelps, Ph.D., as Senior VicePresident of Research and Development. Dr. Phelps, who will report toPresident and CEO Shelley Hartman, will be responsible for leading all productdesign and development at LifeSync, including building the Company'sTechnology Center at the Georgia Electronic Design Center (GEDC) at theGeorgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.

Dr. Phelps comes to LifeSync with over eighteen years experience in thedesign and development of high technology and wireless products for themedical, automotive and defense industries. Dr. Phelps joined LifeSync fromMedtronic, Inc. where he recently led the Electronic Systems Technology aswell as new Therapies and Diagnostics Product Development at theMicroelectronics Center in Tempe, Arizona. Prior to Medtronic, he heldleadership positions at Motorola's Sensor Products Division in Tempe, Arizona,and Texas Instrument's Defense Systems and Electronics Group in Dallas, Texas.Dr. Phelps received B.S. (Summa Cum Laude), M.S. and Ph.D. degrees inelectrical engineering and holds a certification in Materials and ScienceEngineering from the Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FL.
