"Brainware has seen accelerated adoption of our technology by some of the largest players in the healthcare and life sciences industries," says Carl Mergele, Brainware CEO. "This is understandable: the current economic crisis has rendered many functions redundant, yet has failed to eliminate mountains of unstructured data that need timely processing. These organizations cannot support the costs of large-scale manual data entry nor afford to spend endless hours searching for vital documents to mitigate legal risks and compliance issues. Brainware provides a compelling answer with our document-agnostic, template-free solutions that make it possible to process millions of pages with unmatched accuracy and limited human intervention."

Globalbrain and Brainware Distiller form a powerful integrated enterprise document processing platform. Globalbrain uses associative memory technology - a proprietary and patented search technology that does not require exact definitions (keywords). It allows user to enter phrases, paragraphs, or even whole documents of texts as search queries, independent of language.

Brainware has embedded this same powerful, fuzzy search capability into Distiller, the company's Intelligent Data Capture solution. The technology works "behind the scenes," providing a whole range of unique benefits such as the ability to understand scanned documents despite OCR errors, accurately extract line item details from complex tables, and match information from incoming documents with the data residing in backend ERP and ECM systems. In this deployment, Brainware Distiller will be providing automated contractual data extraction from the company's Contract Repository System (CRS) to populate a Microsoft SharePoint frontend.

Distiller routinely speeds document processing by 60% to 80%, automatically extracting detail from large documents and tables, sharply reducing the need for manual review and data entry. Newly added dashboard and reporting functions provide users with real-time access to key performance indicators about the status of every document processed.
