For the past three years, AFAN, Golden Rainbow and the Nevada State HealthDivision have worked cooperatively on a media campaign called "THINK,"designed to raise awareness and help prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS. Now thisWorld AIDS Day, Monday, December 1, the organizations will be holding "Think.Learn. Live." at NOVE Italiano inside the Palms Hotel Casino Resort in LasVegas. The event is designed as an educational evening filled with dinner,guest speakers, live jazz and more.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the event continues until 8 p.m. Single seatsare available for $30; tables for four are $120; and tables for eight at $240.RSVP at thinklasvegas.org. With every donation, the THINK campaign comescloser to becoming a year-round, mass media campaign that will further theeducation and awareness of HIV/AIDS. Event sponsors include The Apothecary,Dunkin' Donuts, Gilead, The 9 Group, NOVE, Q Vegas, Studio Out and VirgenAdvertising.
Part of the evening will feature the re-launch of the websitethinklasvegas.org, which has been completely redesigned to be more interactiveand informative. For example, the site will have an online quiz that testsvisitors AIDS knowledge; host a wide range of local and global AIDS relatednews stories that can be updated instantly; contain an education page whereusers can link to various educational AIDS sites. A video section will link toAIDS related videos that target a variety of individuals. Users will also beable to see upcoming AIDS events such as the AIDS Walk and "Ribbon of Life"and find out to how to participate or sponsor the event.
THINK was originally conceived by Steinbeck Communications with originalart design by Virgen Advertising, which also designed the new website.
