As a National Corporate Supporter of the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative, Lane Bryant aims to inspire women to contribute and educate them on risks, prevention and where to find help through multiple channels. Lane Bryant's This Body Stands Strong campaign was designed to increase awareness of Breast Cancer throughout all facets of the brand.

"The American Cancer Society is grateful for the support of corporate partners such as Lane Bryant, who have developed distinctive and creative products to encourage their customers to become involved in raising awareness and funds to end breast cancer," said Sharon Byers, Chief Development and Marketing Officer for the American Cancer Society. "We're excited to collaborate during October to increase breast cancer awareness and help end the pain and suffering caused by this disease. Thanks in part to the progress we're making against breast cancer, death rates from the disease dropped 36 percent between 1989 and 2012, which means 249,000 fewer breast cancer deaths."

Throughout the This Body Stands Strong campaign, Lane Bryant offered multiple opportunities for clients and associates to contribute to the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative. Cause-dedicated product was made available in store and on the brand's website, with 10% of the purchase price being contributed to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Additionally, the brand offered a "register-round up" to in store clients, and Lane Bryant associates took part in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walks across the US, raising additional funds to be contributed to the cause.

Not only did Lane Bryant raise contributions for breast cancer awareness, the brand also celebrated survivors of the disease. Prior to launching the campaign, the brand partnered with the American Cancer Society to treat a group of breast cancer survivors (including their supporters, Lane Bryant associates and model Precious Lee) to a special photoshoot. Images from the photoshoot were shared across Lane Bryant's social media and digital outlets throughout the campaign.

Lane Bryant also held Survivor events in 10 cities across the country. During the event, local breast cancer survivors were treated to head-to-toe makeovers and celebrated during in-store events that included giveaways and special offers for attendees.
