LMS CALM Shoulder Screen(TM) selected by New Jersey physician group to minimize obstetrical risks

MONTREAL, May 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - LMS Medical Systems (TSX:LMZ), ahealthcare technology company and developer of the CALM(R) patient safetysoftware systems for obstetrics, today announced that it has entered into anagreement with Regional Women's Health Management, LLC (Regional) of NewJersey to license CALM Shoulder Screen. Regional is one of the largest groupsof Obstetricians and Gynecologists in New Jersey, serving over 200,000 womenannually and delivering over 5000 babies.

CALM Shoulder Screen will assist obstetricians with managing the risksassociated with shoulder dystocia (ShD). ShD occurs when a baby's shouldergets stuck behind the mother's pubic bone during childbirth. It is one of themost feared conditions that can occur during labor and delivery. Potentialinjuries include injury to the nerves of the baby's arm and shoulder, braindamage and sometimes death.
