Kurt Salmon Associates Names John Karonis Managing Director, North America

Mr. Karonis has been a Vice President, member of the Board of Directors,and National Director of KSA's Supply Chain Practice, which partners withleading retailers to improve their supply chains, operations, and logistics.
Mr. Karonis joined KSA's North American Logistics Practice KSA in 1989,led the firm's European Logistics Practice from 1995 to 1999, and wasappointed to the Board of Directors in 2004. Collaborating with KSA teamsaround the globe, Mr. Karonis has coached and mentored KSA consultants andclient staff. His consulting activities focus on supply chain strategy andsystems, network planning, and inventory optimization. His clients includeretail industry leaders from both North America and Europe, includingAeropostale, B&Q, Macy's, Sainsbury's, Toys "R" Us, and Wal-Mart.
Prior to his career with KSA, Mr. Karonis was a Naval Flight Officer andF-14 Mission Commander for the U.S. Navy. A graduate of the U.S. NavalAcademy, he received a master's degree in business administration from GoldenGate University.
David Bassuk has played a pivotal role in building KSA's capabilities inspeed to market, with a specific focus on product development, merchandising,and planning. He has designed and implemented solutions for KSA clients aroundthe globe, including leading Japanese retailer, Aeon, Kohl's, Liz Claiborne,and Macy's.
Bryan Eshelman has built KSA's Merchandising Technology Practice, whichfocuses on product development and merchandising and planning packages andtools. He also launched KSA's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) service,which helps clients develop and achieve business cases through productdevelopment process and systems implementation. Most recently, he has achievedoutstanding results for clients such as Ann Taylor, Chico's, JC Penney,Macy's, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Jeff Hoffman has been a major contributor to KSA's Health Care ConsultingGroup, and led the expansion of its Strategy Practice on the West Coast. Jeffhas built trusted advisor relationships with clients such as Palomar-PomeradoHealth Systems, Peace Health, Salem Hospital, and Sun Health, and led a seriesof groundbreaking strategic engagements for a large international client,Saudi Aramco. Currently, he is leading the expansion of the StrategyPractice's finance services, as well as the growth of KSA's overall strategypractice.
Global Marketing Council Chair Appointed
Madison Riley, who has led KSA's North American Growth and ProfitabilityPractice since 2004, has been named to an additional role as leader of theGlobal Marketing Council. The Council is charged with articulating andadvancing KSA's brand and value propositions, and developing and overseeingthe execution of key marketing initiatives. Prior to joining KSA, Mr. Rileywas President of Stride Rite's International Group, and then of the Children'sGroup. During his KSA career, Mr. Riley has assisted retailers and brandedmanufacturers around the globe; current clients include Aramark, L.L. Bean,Orchard Brands, QVC, Reebok, St. John Knits, and Talbots/J. Jill.
