A person living with HIV for 26 years, Milan has spoken and writtenextensively on HIV/AIDS issues. He is currently chairman of the CDC Businessand Labor Responds to AIDS Partners Board and chairman of the Los Angeles-based Black AIDS Institute, from which he received the "Hero in the Struggle"award earlier this year. From 2002-2007, he served as co-chair of the Centersfor Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)/Health Resources and ServicesAdministration (HRSA) Advisory Committee on HIV and STD Prevention andTreatments.

Milan joined Altarum Institute in the spring of 2008 and is the Directorof the Institute's Community Health Systems group.
