The diverse religious community of the Lexington-Central KY Area will be uniting to respond to the moral vision of health care for all. This service is an opportunity for voices of faith to rise above partisan politics. It will help us create a health care future that is grounded in the sacred bonds of our common humanity and reflects faithful stewardship of our abundant health care resources.

Believing in the deep scriptural and spiritual roots of our common faith traditions, representatives from many faith communities will lead prayers for hope and health care for all.

This August 30 Prayer Service is part of the nationwide Let Our Light Shine campaign sponsored by the Faithful Reform in Health Care coalition during the August Congressional recess. It is intended to urge elected leaders to transcend partisan politics and to ensure that comprehensive and compassionate reform passes this year.
