Intercim and Dassault Systemes Sign Memorandum of Understanding
While integration already exists between Dassault Systemes' V5 PLMplatform and Intercim manufacturing execution systems (MES) solutions,Intercim and DS have decided to take a significant step forward to leveragethe openness, online content and creation capabilities of Dassault Systemes'recently announced V6 platform. Intercim will provide customers with acomplete manufacturing operations management system integrated with V6'ssingle PLM platform for intellectual property management. This uniquepartnership will create a Web-based solution that offers the following valueto customers:
- Visibility and traceability to all manufacturing stakeholders of shopfloor execution, with a real-time 3D access to the "as-built" productinformation.
- Increased reactivity to plant-floor issues with real-time visibilityacross the extended enterprise of all production assets directly within the3D production model,and with immediate corrective action validation in thevirtual model prior to implementation.
- Increase knowledge sharing between the shop-floor and product andmanufacturing engineering with a common view and understanding of the virtualproduct and production system.
