"The certification is a testament to the outstanding quality of our nursing program," said Dr. Yoram Neumann, the President and Chief Executive Officer of InterAmerican College. The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Program at IAC embraces a nursing conceptual framework based on the person, health/illness, the environment and professional nursing and is grounded in the biological, psycho-social and nursing sciences.

In addition, the certification provides a boost in earnings for graduates of IAC's MSN program. "It is worth twenty thousand dollars more a year in salary," said Tom Finaly, the Chief Operating Officer of IAC. He continued, "It also provides our MSN graduates the opportunity to take their nursing careers to the next level. It allows them to work in collaboration and not under the supervision of a physician." The next learning cohort for the MSN Program will begin this summer with applications currently being accepted.

The Board of Registered Nursing was established by California law to protect the public by regulating the practice of registered nurses. The BRN is responsible for implementation and enforcement of the Nursing Practice Act related to nursing education, licensure, practice and discipline.
