Informed Medical Communications Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Marchio brings to IMC over 20 years of experience in senior financialleadership positions in both the public and private sectors, with the last 15years spent in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, he served as VicePresident, Treasurer of MedPointe where he helped lead the financialturnaround and eventual sale of the company. During his tenure, the value ofMedPointe shares doubled and the company saw a dramatic improvement in cashflow. Prior to this, Marchio helped finance the domestic and internationalgrowth of Alpharma from under $300MM in sales (1992) to approximately $1.3B(2005) while building treasury, tax, risk management and benefit financesystems as their Vice President, Treasurer. Marchio holds a BA in Economicsfrom Muhlenberg College, an MBA in Professional Accounting from RutgersGraduate School of Business and a Post-MBA Certificate in Taxation fromBernard Baruch College.
