InfoLogix's Wireless as a Service offering delivers advanced wireless connectivity as a managed service, thereby enabling hospitals like Hilo to achieve ongoing access to a fully-functional wireless infrastructure on as a pay-as-you-go basis. The offering provides for the purchase, installation and maintenance of the wireless network throughout the entire hospital -- from wireless workstations in the ICU and Emergency departments, to all patient rooms, mobile devices and PDAs -- and secure access to patient information accessible to all caregivers, whether onsite or remote.

By enabling the infrastructure to be financed over a multi-year period as part of a managed service, hospitals are able to cost-effectively achieve wireless functionality today -- a necessary pre-requisite for supporting advanced EMR implementations that will be spurred by the federal government's ARRA stimulus legislation -- without the upfront costs.
