MINNEAPOLIS, March 30 Incisive Surgical, Inc. today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark office has issued the company a patent for its proprietary INSORBŪ Absorbable Skin Stapling Technology. The patent broadly covers the wound closure stapling apparatus. Incisive Surgical is the only company in the world that offers a mechanical stapler that deploys absorbable staples that are placed underneath the skin to close incisions. The Company has shipped approximately 500,000 staplers since January 2005.
