"Through a partnership with the Texas Automobile Dealers Association and a group of investors, THA was able to join a sound real estate venture that made sense for our members," said Dan Stultz, M.D., FACP, FACHE, president/CEO of THA. "This move literally puts Texas hospitals before the Legislature and will enhance our visibility in the public policy arena."

Development 2000, Inc., spearheaded the construction project, with tenant partners THA and TADA each owning a share of the limited partnership. Several THA subsidiary and affiliate organizations will join the association in the new office space. THA's current building on Highway 290 East, which was built by the association in the early 1960s, has been sold to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Austin.
During past legislative sessions, THA has leased office space near the Capitol. The new downtown location will allow the entire THA staff to be housed in the same building year-round, which will enhance efficiency. In addition, the new environment will provide improved amenities for members, including ample meeting space, secure parking and temporary work areas with enhanced technology features.
"With a 24/7 mission to literally save lives, hospitals are an essential part of the state's infrastructure as well as a major driver in the state's economy," said Stultz. "In the new location, THA will be at the center of the health care debate."
NOTE: THA will move May 15-18 and will be open for business at the new location on May 19. New address information is provided below. Telephone numbers and e-mail addresses will not change. Also, please note that the telephone system, e-mail and online transactions will be temporarily unavailable during the move. More information is available online at www.texashospitalsonline.org.
