Book Signing Scheduled During AAO 2017

HOBOKEN, N.J., April 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- A new textbook, "Clinical

Guide to Accelerated Orthodontics with a Focus on Micro-Osteoperforations" authored by pioneers in translational orthodontic research, has hit the shelves earlier this month (purchase here). The highly revered contributors to the textbook hold prestigious
positions and/or memberships with the Consortium for Translational Orthodontic Research (CTOR), the Forsyth Institute, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and New York University College of Dentistry.

At this year's American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) Annual Session in San Diego, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with editor, Dr. Mani Alikhani DMD, MS PhD, for a book signing on Sunday, April 23rd from 9:30-11:00AM at booth #713 (Propel Orthodontics). Complimentary copies of the textbook will be distributed to the first 100 people in attendance.

Accelerated Orthodontics is an emerging facet of the Orthodontic specialty that is quickly becoming popular with patients interested in reducing treatment time and willing to pay a fee to do so. "It is important to understand the biology of tooth movement so we can safely accelerate this process in a predictable manner exploring the body's natural response," explains Dr. Alikhani.

The textbook lends focus to an efficient, innovative, and minimally invasive method to accelerate Orthodontic treatment, Micro-Osteoperforation (MOP). This method was one of the first major translational breakthroughs put forth by researchers at CTOR. Through NIH sponsored research and innovative industry support, CTOR is bringing the benefits of their research findings to the orthodontic community. Patents related to CTOR's work on MOP are licensed by Propel Orthodontics, LLC, the creators of the Excellerator™ Series Drivers, specifically designed to perform the required treatment mechanics of MOP.

Don't Miss the AAO Scientific Doctor Sessions:
