USC is in discussions with the Chilean Undersecretary of Health to facilitate mobilizing a medical team to Concepcion, Chile. Concepcion is one of the hot spots along with Puerta Sevedra and Talca. The total population in these three hot spots is 350,000. Chile is in dire need of dialysis resources, portable hospitals, generators, water and supplies. USC has been at the forefront for the last 10 years in the emergence of Emergency Medicine as a specialty in Chile.
