He has his state and national dental and oral and maxillofacial surgery societies in a number of capacities, including as committee chair, society officer and delegate to both the American Dental Association and AAOMS Houses of Delegates.
Dr. Windell received his dental degree from the University of Oregon Health Science Center (UOHSC) School of Dentistry and served his residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo. In addition to his private practice, he is associate clinical instructor in oral surgery at UOHSC.
More than 4,000 registrants, including oral and maxillofacial surgeons from around the world, attended the AAOMS Annual Meeting where they conducted association business, discussed surgical procedures, earned continuing education credits and met with dental industry suppliers.

AAOMS fellows and members comply with rigorous continuing education requirements and submit to periodic office examinations, ensuring the public that all office procedures and personnel meet stringent national standards.
