Henry C. Windell, DMD, Elected to Board of Trustees of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons

ROSEMONT, Ill., Oct. 31 Dr. Henry C. Windell of Gresham, Ore. has been elected District VI Trustee on the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Board of Trustees. He was installed at the conclusion of the AAOMS's 90th Annual Meeting, Scientific Sessions and Exhibition, September 16-20, 2008, in Seattle, Wash. and will serve for one year, completing the unexpired term of Dr. Larry Moore, who was elected vice president of the association. As the District VI Trustee, Dr. Windell represents the approximately 1,100 AAOMS member oral and maxillofacial surgeons in Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

"We are delighted to welcome Dr. Windell to the AAOMS Board of Trustees," said Dr. R. Lynn White, AAOMS President. "He has been active in professional and specialty organizations for many years, both locally and nationally, and I am confident he will represent his constituents well."

He has his state and national dental and oral and maxillofacial surgery societies in a number of capacities, including as committee chair, society officer and delegate to both the American Dental Association and AAOMS Houses of Delegates.



Dr. Windell received his dental degree from the University of Oregon Health Science Center (UOHSC) School of Dentistry and served his residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo. In addition to his private practice, he is associate clinical instructor in oral surgery at UOHSC.



More than 4,000 registrants, including oral and maxillofacial surgeons from around the world, attended the AAOMS Annual Meeting where they conducted association business, discussed surgical procedures, earned continuing education credits and met with dental industry suppliers.
