Heartline achieved a 65.6% growth rate in the past three years from 2003to 2006, and ranked 3,913 among this year's fastest growing companies. According to The President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, hereare the facts driving the fitness industry's growth: 1) 10% of children ages2-5 are overweight, compared to 5% in 1980, 2) 16% of children and teens ages6-19 are overweight, versus only 6% in 1980, or triple, 3) more than 108million adults are either obese or overweight, and 4) Only 28% of studentsgrades 9 through 12 participated in daily school physical education in 2006,down from 42% in 1991.
