BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 9 HealthSouth Corporation(NYSE: HLS) today announced it has broken ground on HealthSouth East ValleyRehabilitation Hospital. The new, 40-bed freestanding inpatient rehabilitationhospital will be located at 5652 E. Baseline Road next to A.T. StillUniversity in Mesa, Ariz.

Once complete, HealthSouth East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital willprovide more patients in the greater Phoenix area with the latest inrehabilitative medicine. The state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital willoffer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient programs. Plans for the47,500-square-foot, single-story hospital include all private rooms, aspacious, on-site therapy gym and cutting-edge rehabilitation technologies.
