With an interactive opera dedicated to allergy sufferers

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- HALLS®, America's leading cough drop brand, is now taking submissions for The Operahhh of Irritations – its first-ever interactive opera, with lyrics submitted by the audience, both online and in person. A team of professional opera singers will be in Harvard Square in Cambridge, Mass., performing impromptu operatic renditions of irritations submitted by the audience via Facebook and Twitter from 2 p.m.7 p.m. ET on Friday, May 20.

The Operahhh supports HALLS® spring allergy campaign and the brand's commitment to soothing irritations by giving the audience a chance to vent about whatever irritates them – and has that irritation sung away by professional opera singers.

"HALLS is committed to soothing irritations – including coughs and sore throats associated with spring allergies. But if there's one group who knows a thing or two about keeping throats in top condition, it's professional opera singers. So we're putting their tremendous throat power to work, helping soothe all kinds of irritations," explains Lori Mazuro, Senior Associate Brand Manager for HALLS.
