HOLLYWOOD’S YOUNG AND WILD CURSED BY ADDICTION
Pacific Hills Treatment Centers Inc. a premier rehabilitation program for drug and alcohol abuse finds success based on a proven comprehensive approach to recovery.
Previous to his recent and untimely death
child star Corey Haim had several drug-related brushes with death and in his desperate state had even tried to sell his body parts.
While at a very early age Haim could command $300000 per film he discovered cocaine in his mid-teens and the world watched
as his career descended. As an act of desperation last December he tried to sell a molar tooth on eBay. The tooth brought a high of $10 but the sale was pulled because the Internet site does not allow the sale of body parts.
Shortly thereafter Corey ended up in a coma in an L.A. hospital after overdosing on drugs. In another pathetic move Haim hocked a ring in a pawn shop for $65 telling the owner that he needed the money to buy a pizza.
In contrast his peer and costar in a recent reality show Corey Feldman recently marked 10 years of sobriety following a long trek in the path of addiction to heroin and cocaine. The 31-year-old actor now a productive member of the Hollywood sober-scene works sporadically and fronts a rock band called Truth Movement.
Another fortunate success story is that of Mackenzie Phillips 41 who has endured nine stints of rehab after falling victim to drugs at age 12. Now the One Day at a Time star has become an inspiration to other ex-addicts by delivering motivational speeches where her message is "Life is good."
