NEW YORK, July 8 Vendome Group, publishers of HEALTHCARE DESIGN and Healthcare Building Ideas magazines, and The Center for Health Design (CHD), a nonprofit research, education, and advocacy organization, are pleased to announce the development of a 2-day educational track for HEALTHCARE DESIGN.09 that will focus on the building science, management, and engineering technologies of healthcare facilities.
The new track will highlight the integration of healthcare design, construction, and facility teams, with nine sessions presenting key information from the perspective of those responsible for the construction and engineering of healthcare facilities.
Topics of the new construction and engineering sessions are:
"By expanding the HEALTHCARE DESIGN.09 agenda to include the Construction and Engineering track, our goal is to provide the most complete educational experience in the healthcare industry, bringing together people from each stage of the development process to discuss ideas of how to best streamline project steps from start to finish," stated Eric Woods, Vice-President and Managing Director of Vendome Group. "By bringing in contractors and engineers from around the world, we hope to convey new perspectives on the challenges not only faced by designers, but by the contractors and engineers actually implementing the ideas and plans, allowing for broader solutions to some of the industry's biggest issues."
In addition to HEALTHCARE DESIGN, Vendome Group and The Center produce Environments for Aging, a conference designed to educate architects, designers, builders, owners, and government agencies on the planning and design of next-generation, elder-friendly environments; and X3 Summit, a unique event that focuses on the fusion of technology, clinical care, and facility design, and explores how to financially maximize their interaction.
