Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women, claiming more lives than breast and all gynecological cancers - combined. The five year survival rate for women with lung cancer is just 18% as compared to 90% for breast cancer and 71% for cervical cancer. Two thirds of those diagnosed with lung cancer have either never smoked or quit smoking decades ago. Over 25,000 women who have never smoked will be diagnosed with lung cancer this year.
