By utilizing an ASP model, Greenway and Mercy Health Partners are able toestablish an interoperable EHR solution that allows medical facilities withinthe Mercy Family to electronically exchange critical patient information in atimely manner, which enhances and expedites the caregivers' ability toadminister safe, accurate and proper medical care. Practices utilizing theMercy managed solution will eventually be able to electronically shareinformation amongst the different participants in a patient's care continuum,including all involved physicians, hospitals, lab systems and pharmacies.Greenway will play a significant role in the creation of Mercy HealthPartners' Integrated Health Exchange (IHE).

The ASP model also assists in providing Mercy Health Partners' affiliatedpractices with a low cost, affordable payment structure for one of theindustry's leading EHR systems, PrimeSuite. The affiliated practices canaccess PrimeSuite from the host and avoid purchasing the entire solutionindividually. Additionally, Mercy Health Partners plans to take advantage ofthe recently modified Stark legislation that will assist with funding theGreenway integrated solution for its members. Together, the ASP platform andMercy's financial participation will address the most significant barrier toEHR adoption, affordability, and can help drive widespread EHR adoptionamongst the community.
