CARROLLTON, Ga., Aug. 31 Greenway Medical Technologies Inc., a leading provider of a single-database, integrated electronic health record (EHR), practice management and interoperability solution, today announced its 11th consecutive fiscal year of positive growth. Greenway(R) ended fiscal year 2009 on June 30, 2009 (FY09) having increased sales bookings by 38 percent compared to FY08 and 88 percent compared to FY07. During FY09, Greenway's growth was marked with such accolades as being one of the first companies to have its ambulatory EHR, PrimeSuite 2008, certified by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT(R)) in its 2008 Ambulatory EHR program. PrimeSuite also won three "Best in KLAS" awards in the 2008 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Professional Services report. PrimeSuite received the Best in KLAS award in the ambulatory EMR category for practices having between six and 25 physicians. Additionally, PrimeSuite received the Best in KLAS award in the ambulatory EMR category as the top rated EMR for practices having between two and five physicians. In the practice management category, PrimeSuite received a Best in KLAS award for practices having between six and 25 physicians (2008 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Professional Service, www.KLASresearch.com.)

Additional highlights from FY09 stemmed from Greenway's consistent leadership and guidance in helping to shape the health IT (HIT) portion of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). Greenway executives, including newly re-elected chairman of the HIMSS EHR Association, Justin Barnes, testified before federal agencies to help create the definition of "meaningful use" which, upon finalization, will play a key role in determining the financial incentives physicians may receive under ARRA for adopting certified EHRs. Greenway officials also testified before the President's administration to help create the certification standards that EHR providers will be required to meet to ensure that their products can be meaningfully used at the point of care by physicians and other eligible professionals.

"The past year has been one of the most important and productive in Greenway's history as we prepare for record numbers of physicians seeking out and adopting EHR solutions in anticipation of the incentive funds that will be available to them through ARRA," said Tommy Green, chairman and CEO of Greenway Medical Technologies. "Greenway has always been focused on the "meaningful use" of our EHR as usability at the point-of-care is so essential to making practices more efficient, financially stronger and able to provide the highest quality of care to their patients."
