Based on current and anticipated criteria prescribed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), eligible professionals who utilize PrimeSuite technology to achieve meaningful use criteria and qualify for stimulus funds, but do not meet compliance based on PrimeSuite's certification or reporting standards capability, will be compensated equal to the amount of lost stimulus funds during the time period necessary to meet the incentive criteria.

The guarantee, detailed at www.GreenwayMedical.com, also guarantees that Greenway will continue to pursue the highest level of ONC meaningful use temporary and permanent certification initially detailed in ONC's Notice of Proposed Rulemaking published March 2.

"Since our founding in 1998, we have sought to create the most functional, usable and innovative EHR and integrated physician's infrastructure in the healthcare industry," said Greenway President Tee Green. "PrimeSuite has set a foundation for today's convergence of EHR meaningful use, EHR certification, quality reporting standards, interoperability and public health initiatives, which together are central to the meaningful use guarantee we are confidently offering customers in our continued striving to ensure their success."

From direct recommendation testimony on Capitol Hill in April of 2009 to a January 8, 2010 meaningful use KLAS survey noting "the highest marks for functionality" in data transmission, Greenway leadership has anticipated and taken the needed steps to advance healthcare delivery and outcomes in step with meaningful use proposals.

During April, in testimony before the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics Executive Subcommittee Hearing on Meaningful Use, Greenway leadership recommended that meaningful use criteria should be built to maximize adoption through standards that are manageable in number and implemented in stages through a five- to six-year cycle to balance point-of-care incentives with non-disruptive implementation.

The January 8 KLAS survey, titled "Ambulatory EMR: On Track for Meaningful Use?" asked more than 1,400 providers that question, to which 85 percent answered positively. Within the survey, Greenway received "the highest marks for functionality" in the digital transmission of pharmacy orders.

"Greenway understands what providers need to effectively treat patients and then show the results in accordance with the meaningful use criteria qualifying them for stimulus incentives available through the use of electronic health records," said Green. "That's why we're offering the strongest and simplest guarantee available for providers pursuing from $44,000 to $63,750 in stimulus incentives."
