Grand Opening of Northwestern Medicine Digestive Health Center

Dr. Stephen B. Hanauer and Dr. Scott A. Strong unveil the new, state-of-the-art Digestive Health Center (DHC) at Northwestern Medicine's Lavin Family Pavilion, 259 E. Erie in Chicago, Illinois.  The DHC features the latest in GI technology, advanced research, clinical services, nutrition, counseling, and an integrated patient care experience.  Research conducted at the center focuses on the prevention and treatment of digestive disorders, including: colon, pancreatic and esophageal cancers; ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease; celiac disease; food allergies; esophageal diseases; and liver diseases. The Grand Opening of the DHC was sponsored by the Digestive Health Foundation that raises critical funds to support DHC physician scientists in their research and education to improve patient quality of life.
