EdgeTrack* transfusion management software provides a complete transfusionrecord, including patient information, pre and post-transfusion data tracking,tracing of blood components and comprehensive tracking of orders, making iteasier for HCL's technicians to provide appropriate blood products forpatients. EdgeTrack's complex features will assist HCL Hospitals in meetingthe diverse needs of their large operation by improving their processes. Itwill also enhance workflow by sending and receiving data with the HCL patientmanagement system, Crystal Net. The first phase includes installation of acentralized database serving all five hospitals with care units beingprogressively added once the initial five hospitals are live. Automation ofthe transfusion services project involves the Cardiology Hospital, Croix-Rousse Hospital, Edouard Herriot Hospital, Lyon Sud Hospital and Renee SabranHospital.
