Global Med Technologies(R), Inc.'s Division, Wyndgate Technologies(R), to Exhibit at 60th Annual AABB Conference
The AABB, founded in 1947, is a leader in the development of standards forvoluntary compliance in blood bank component and collection, processing andtransfusion. According to the AABB, more than 180 TXPO exhibitors willdemonstrate and deliver the latest information on the most innovativeproducts, services and technologies for the blood banking, transfusion andcellular therapy communities. The annual meeting will be held at the AnaheimConvention Center in Anaheim, California, from October 20th through October23rd. This will be Wyndgate's thirteenth consecutive year as a supporter,exhibitor and sponsor of the conference. Wyndgate's well-staffed exhibit willbe in Booth 355.

Safe Blood International, Global Med's partner in HIV/AIDS prevention workin Africa, will be participating in the conference. James van Hasselt, M.D.,of Safe Blood International, will be moderating "Blood Supplies and Use inResource Constrained Nations." Safe Blood is an emerging leader insafeguarding the blood supply in multiple countries within sub-Saharan Africawhere contamination from infectious, blood borne diseases, including HIV,Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, is widespread. Currently, several sub-Saharansites use Wyndgate products and services.
In addition to being an exhibitor at AABB, Wyndgate will be contributingto the event as a sponsor of the National Blood Foundation (NBF) GolfTournament. The tournament aids in raising funds to support research andeducation initiatives for advancing transfusion medicine, blood banking andcellular therapies.
AABB is an international, not-for-profit association consisting ofapproximately 8,000 individuals and 2,000 institutions. The association andits members promote the voluntary donation of blood. Its member facilitiesare responsible for collecting virtually all of the nation's blood supply andtransfusing more than 80 percent. AABB's Annual Meeting and TXPO gathersprofessionals from over 88 countries to peer network, view the latest in bloodmanagement technology and receive information from more than 130 educationaland abstract offerings.
