DETROIT, Sept. 29 For germ-a-phobes there are few, moreintimidating moments than an airport security check point. "We set out three years ago with a mission to use the best technologiesavailable to make Detroit Metro Airport one of the newest, mostoperationally-capable and efficient airports in North America," said LesterRobinson, Wayne County Airport Authority CEO. "Recognizing that many travelershave concerns about contacting germs as they go through security, we arepleased to offer customers an antimicrobial technology for these areas thatwould be powerful and yet durable enough to withstand airport traffic."

"Traveling can be stressful enough but with the protection of TriBan inplace, passengers have a microscopic ally that allows them to worry more aboutgetting to their plane on time and less about microbes when they fly throughthe new North Terminal at Detroit Metro Airport," said Art McWood, presidentTriton Technology Group.

"The key to the TriBan System is the durable antimicrobial application,"McWood continued. "This EPA registered antimicrobial technology forms anextremely durable bond on a surface, and controls microorganisms withoutchemical poisons by essentially creating a molecular 'bed of nails' all overthe treated area. It makes the surface physically inhospitable to current andfuture microbial growth. To the human eye and touch, the application isinvisible, but for microbes, it is an end-game."

Detroit Metro Airport treated all of the security check points and thefederal inspection areas of the new North Terminal with the TriBan System.

Unlike most other antimicrobials that leach chemicals or heavy metals intothe air and the surrounding environment, the unique technology powering TriBancontrols microbial growth without leaching, making it an effective, "green"alternative for airports.

The TriBan Antimicrobial System is a comprehensive approach to microbialtreatment and prevention. It begins with extensive testing of the facility, followed by a customized treatment plan and application of the continuouslyactive antimicrobial. Finally, post-testing and a long-term service plancomplete the process.

Established in 2002 by the Michigan State Legislature, Wayne CountyAirport Authority is an independent agency responsible for the operation ofDetroit Metro Airport (DTW) and Willow Run Airport (YIP). Serving nearly 36million passengers each year, DTW is the largest airport in Michigan and amongthe busiest air transportation hubs in the world. DTW's 17 airlines offer morethan 1,200 non-stop flights per day to more than 160 destinations worldwide.

Located in downtown Detroit, Triton Technology Group is the exclusiveprovider of the TriBan Antimicrobial System. Triton offers an extensiveline-up of green technologies, antimicrobial treatments and applicationsservicing a broad range of industries including schools, athletic facilities, marinas, new construction and health care facilities.
