Diplomat will be the 2008 national Part D Assistance provider forRenagel(R) (sevelamer hydrochloride). Renagel is a non-calcium/non-metalbased phosphorus binder indicated for the control of serum phosphorus inpatients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) on dialysis. The Renagel Part DAssistance Program provides Renagel free of charge to patients who areenrolled in a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan but cannot afford theircopayments or co-insurance payments for Renagel. The Renagel Part D Assistanceprogram complements Diplomat's existing renal program which includes pharmacydelivery of required medications to dialysis patients and CKD diseasemanagement.
