AKRON, Ohio, June 16 On Wednesday, June 23, a free, interactive Web cast on three leading industries in Ohio promises to inspire renewed hope for new jobs in Ohio. Nine experts in the biomedical sciences, advanced energy, and polymers and coatings industries will share their insight on innovation, global commerce and the new skills needed for a new economy from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. at www.ohio.com/jobgrowth.

Presented by the Akron Beacon Journal and Ohio.monster.com, "Fueling Ohio's New Job Growth" will be moderated by Deborah Cummings of the Ohio Department of Development and hosted at the Goodyear Auditorium of the University of Akron College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering. Summit County Executive Russ Pry will welcome panelists Baiju Shah of BioEnterprise, Dennis Barber of Ohio Polymer Strategy Council, Dave Karpinski of NorTech, Christopher Coburn of Cleveland Clinic, John Dearborn of JumpStart Ventures, Joel Domino of Kent Displays and Ron Shuck of Sherwin Williams. They will address the economic turmoil of the last three years, how it has dramatically changed the face of Ohio's business landscape, and what businesses need to do to attract talent and expand operations in Ohio's new developing industries. Breakout sessions involving audience members in the conversation and a networking luncheon will follow the panel discussion.
