Seedco Offers Vouchers to be Redeemed at CVS/pharmacy and MinuteClinic health care centers

NEW YORK, Oct. 13 -- In New York City and more than 20 markets across the country, CVS Caremark is offering vouchers for free seasonal flu shots to the unemployed. CVS Caremark has committed vouchers to unemployed residents of New York City, 1,000 of which will be distributed by Seedco.

"In addition to helping New York City’s unemployed workers find job opportunities, Seedco recognizes the importance of maintaining one’s health while unemployed. The partnership with CVS allows Seedco to increase access to a vital health benefit during this flu season," Francine Delgado, senior vice president of New York City Programs for Seedco, said.

The vouchers will be distributed through Seedco's community-based organizational partners in the New York City area. Vouchers will be distributed at the following locations:

  • CAMBA, Inc.
  • Chinese-American Planning Council
  • Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation
  • St. Nicholas Neighborhood Preservation Corporation
  • Gay Men's Health Crisis
  • Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement
  • Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation
  • Catholic Charities Community Service
  • Henry Street Settlement
  • Citizens Advice Bureau
  • Phipps Community Development Corporation
  • South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation

The vouchers can be redeemed with proper identification at scheduled CVS/pharmacy in- store flu clinics, and on-demand, every day at MinuteClinic health centers located in select CVS/pharmacy retail stores.

Participating employment center locations are distributing vouchers on a first come, first served basis in New York City.
