In-Store Donation Campaign Benefitting Paralyzed Veterans of America Begins July 5

WASHINGTON, July 5, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, Paralyzed Veterans of America (Paralyzed Veterans) kicked off the seventh year of its partnership with Food City and NASCAR Champion and Hall of Fame Inductee, Richard Petty, to continue the mission of raising critical funds for Paralyzed Veterans of America through quick and easy donations at Food City supermarkets across the region.

"Through the generosity of Food City customers, we've been able to provide the most vulnerable contingent of veterans with access to quality healthcare, fulfilling careers and the Department of Veterans Affairs benefits they have earned through their service and sacrifice to our nation. We can only provide veterans, their families and their caregivers with these services free-of-cost because we have partners like Food City and RTIC Coolers beside us; and the enduring support of friends like Richard Petty."

The fundraising campaign, which will be featured throughout Food City's retail supermarket chain, begins July 5, 2017 and continues through August 1, 2017. Specially marked $1, $3 and $5 donation slips will be available at checkouts. Customers wishing to make a contribution simply need to select the desired dollar amount and it will be conveniently added to their order total. 

This year, new partner RTIC Coolers joins the team with a pledge of $25,000 to launch the campaign with a healthy start. "As the son of a veteran, I have a special appreciation for the service and selfless sacrifice given to our country by all veterans. It is a privilege and an honor to partner with Food City and Richard Petty to support Paralyzed Veterans of America's Mission: ABLE campaign," said John Jacobsen, Founder & CEO of RTIC Coolers, LLC.
