RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio, Dec. 27 Fitworks largest 59,000sq. ft. Mega-Center officially opened for workouts on December 17, 2007. Thefitness center is located in West Chester just off Cincinnati-Dayton Road &I-75 next to Wal-Mart. A month long Grand Opening celebration is planned forJanuary which includes a silent auction on Saturday, January 19th from 5pm-8pmto benefit the Mathis Foundation for Children. The event is free and open tothe public.

The center represents Fitworks largest fitness venture to date andfeatures an Interactive Arcade called Game On!. Game On!, set to open in justa couple of weeks, is one of the first of its kind to hit the Cincinnati area. It's a revolutionary new fitness gaming center designed to captivate kids, teens, and adult gamers alike. John Janszen, Fitworks Chief Operating Officerstates, "Game On! takes traditional gaming and traditional fitness to the nextlevel by combining them into a high-energy space filled with extreme gamesthat require users to engage in action-packed physical activities. Theactivity and movement powers the games and allows users to compete againstother players." All of this is packaged in a high-energy environment designedto engage all the senses with heart-pounding music and a frequent laser lightshow. The idea says Janszen, is to get people moving and allow them to do thiswhile having fun. "Obesity levels are at a record high, especially childhoodobesity. And many adults complain that workouts can get monotonous. With GameOn!, we saw an opportunity to cut the boredom experienced by adults while alsoproviding kids with an outlet for physical activity. It's like getting a kidto eat fruit by covering it in sugar, though there's no downside to thesweetener we've added." And Janszen is quick to emphasize that Game On! isdesigned to stimulate and challenge adults, not just kids and teens. "Anyonewho enjoys movement and gaming will love Game On!," states Janszen.

In addition to the large array of equipment, classes and servicesavailable, members will also have free access to Fitworks recently launchedPST (Positive Self-Talk) educational program. One of the first of its kind inthe nation to be offered by a fitness center, their PST program was designedto teach members how to avoid common pitfalls that undermine fitness goals. Itworks by cementing the role the mind/body connection plays in achievingsuccess. "Our goal is to see our members succeed. To insure this, we felt itwas important to provide a service that gives them access to more than justthe physical aspects of fitness. Our PST program puts a spotlight on themental aspects required to succeed as well," states Janszen.

Other amenities include state-of-the art cardio equipment with personalviewing stations, a Fitworks Cardio Cinema room where members can enjoy movieson a 15' theater screen while working out, an enormous Spinning studio, twogroup fitness class rooms, a private Yoga and Pilates studio, a privatewomen's workout lounge, strength training equipment and free weights, an easyto use sprint circuit room, a smoothie bar, locker rooms with fireplaces, arelaxation area with steam rooms, saunas, and a whirlpool, Playland for thekids complete with a movie theater, and MVP Sports Acceleration Training.
