LOMA LINDA, Calif., June 11 The local Loma Linda community is invited to join in the Grand Re-Opening celebration of the Farmer Boys Restaurant located at 10475 Mountain View Avenue this coming weekend. The Ribbon cutting ceremony will start at 4:00pm on Thursday, June 17th kicking off a weekend of fun-filled festivities! The Grand Re-Opening is the beginning of a new relationship and commitment by the Farmer Boys Restaurant to be a proactive partner and supporter in the community. Jose Navarro, the restaurant manager, and Luis Lucero, one of Farmer Boys Area Operations Managers, are excited about their new resolve. They pledge to continue work with their Farmers Boys team in providing, not only great tasting food, but exceptional guest service which portrays an 'eager-to-please' attitude.

To make good on this new commitment, the Grand Re-Opening will be the start of several in-store events to raise funds for the Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. The celebration is expected to start on Thursday, June 17th, 2010 at the 10475 Mountain View Avenue location just south of the 10Freeway. The Chamber of Commerce's Lucy Argueta, along with several local City Council Representatives, will be present to assist Jose Navarro and Luis Lucero with the ceremonial ribbon cutting at 4:00pm. The community is invited to join in the festivities. The first 50 customers to arrive at the ribbon cutting on Thursday will receive a FREE Farmer Boys T-shirt. A special 99 cent cheeseburger offer will be available daily starting Thursday through Sunday, from 2:00PM to 8:00PM.

On Friday and Saturday, June 18th and 19th, 2010, customers who walk-in or dine- in, can enjoy a Breakfast Burrito with coffee or 22oz fountain drink for just $2.99 from 7:00am to 11:00am or a Cheeseburger for .99 cents from 2:00pm to 8:00pm.

On Sunday, June 20th, the festivities culminate with great excitement, fun, food and entertainment. The celebration will kick off with a pancake eating contest at 10:00am. Anyone can take the challenge, they can stop in to sign up during the week of the event or come in by 9:45am. The winner who can eat the most pancakes within a specific time will receive a $100 gift card good at any Farmer Boys Restaurant location. Bring the family for breakfast and enjoy the fun. Face painting and balloons will be available for kids. Take a picture with Farmer Boy Roy or his car. Other Classic Cars will be present along with DJ Brian and the Inland Empire Cruisin' Club. Enjoy a variety of memorable music by Sound Divine from the 50's, 60's or 70's. The Car Show time is from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Pick your favorite car and nominate it to win an award.

Take a chance with the raffled items and the Prize Wheel offers all day long, and support Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. Live Stream Blood Bank will be present to accept new donors too. Interested contestants can register during the week prior to the Grand Re-Opening or sign up before 2:45pm on Sunday to take part in this contest at 3:00pm.
