Dr. Lang leads Pensiamo's cognitive analytics team to identify, capture and analyze disparate data to create actionable insights that support better healthcare supply chain decisions. Her team's insights enable innovative strategies that seek opportunities to reduce costs and improve quality of supply chain services for healthcare providers working with Pensiamo, the cognitive supply chain company that evolved from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC)'s world class supply chain management and operations. Prior to this role, she was the vice president of Healthcare Pharmacy and Supply Chain Management Commercial Services at UPMC, responsible for HC Pharmacy Central, Inc., a for-profit membership corporation and group purchasing organization. A longtime leader in GS1 Standards adoption efforts in healthcare, Dr. Lang was an inaugural member of the GS1 Healthcare US® initiative when it formed in 2008, served on the initiative's Executive Leadership Committee for two years, and made significant contributions to various healthcare industry workgroups, drawing on previous experience as a hospital pharmacist. She is also the past-chair of the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) Board of Directors.

Mr. Natarajan replaces Linda Dillman, former chief information officer of QVC, Inc., who previously served on the GS1 US Board of Governors. He oversees the technology that enables QVC's interactive platforms, customer marketing, media technology, and enterprise data management for QVC markets globally. He is also responsible for driving innovation and the development of customer-facing applications for QVC. Prior to joining QVC, Mr. Natarajan held key executive roles at Lowe's and Sam's Club where he led the transformation of e-commerce platforms to be contextually relevant to the target audiences.

"Mary Beth and Venkatesh are known innovators in two rapidly changing industries—healthcare and e-commerce," said Bob Carpenter, president and CEO of GS1 US. "Their leadership has transformed their organizations' ability to keep pace with technology, consumers, and global commerce today. I am confident their guidance will be paramount in helping industry understand how standards can increase the value of product content for both supply chain and e-commerce business processes, leading to better cost and revenue outcomes for our customers."
