Nancy-Ann Min Deparle, Director of White House Office of Health Reform, To Speak on Monday
Washington, D.C. -- Nearly 400 emergency physicians from across the country will converge in the nation's capital May 16-19 to meet with key policy leaders and lawmakers on Capitol Hill and urge them to address the critical issues facing emergency patients, recognizing that everyone is only one step away from a medical emergency. The emergency physicians also will attend leadership meetings and discuss how to protect people's access to lifesaving emergency care as national policymakers focus on development regulations to implement the new health care reform law. The meetings are part of the 2010 Leadership and Advocacy Conference of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
