AMSTERDAM, January 6 Elsevier, the world'sleading publisher of scientific, technical and medical information productsand services, announced today that fifty prestigious titles from the ElsevierDoyma Spanish Medical Collection are available on ScienceDirect, its onlinescientific research platform.

Doyma, the leading Spanish language medical publisher acquired byElsevier in 2005, publishes approximately 5,000 high quality papers everyyear. The inclusion of Elsevier Doyma titles on ScienceDirect will allow moreresearchers across the world to access these articles.

To date, the Elsevier Doyma collection has only been available throughhttp://www.doyma.es and http://www.elsevierinstituciones.com and the narrowdistribution as well as Spanish language nature of these platforms haslimited access. The thousands of authors represented in the Elsevier Doymacollection will now enjoy greater market visibility, increasing the potentialfor research collaboration and recognition. In addition, many of the articleswill now include English abstracts benefiting non-Spanish speakingresearchers.

"The Elsevier Doyma Spanish Medical Collection represents a wide range ofhigh-quality journals," commented Rafael Sidi, Vice President, ProductManagement, ScienceDirect. "We are excited to include these titles onScienceDirect giving them more visibility in the global research community."

The addition of the Spanish Medical Collection follows the successfullaunch of Elsevier's Masson French Medical titles early 2008 and contributesto the evolution of the ScienceDirect platform into a comprehensive andcomplete source of global scientific knowledge.
