The Donor Network Alliance (www.donornetworkalliance.com) database can be sorted by a vast number of parameters, guided by what the parents are looking for in their ideal egg donor. A sampling includes:
Users can browse DNA for free for 48 hours. While they can view photos and descriptions of egg donors, they cannot contact any donors' agencies until they subscribe. Subscription fee is $49 for two weeks.

-- Heritage. DNA includes 94 donors of Scandinavian descent, 22 who are Jewish, 18 Pacific Islanders, and 14 East Indians. -- Accomplishments. More than 500 are college graduates, 338 are accomplished athletes, and 118 are accomplished singers. -- Physical characteristics. Over 1,200 are 5'5" or under, and 239 are 5'9" or over. -- Experience. Included are 388 donors who have donated previously.
