The award recognizes successful Washington-based companies for their dedication to corporate culture and investment in employee satisfaction. Along with the standard mix of perks such as a strong benefits package, great work environment and high employee satisfaction, Edifecs boasts a unique corporate wellness program that features onsite fitness classes, healthy office meals and snacks and monthly seminars with a professional "wellness coach."

"We recognize our people as a key asset and strive to provide exciting career opportunities that allow for continuous learning and growth," said Gail Hedden, Human Resources Manager at Edifecs. "Additionally, we want our employees to be happy and healthy and implementing programs that foster these qualities have been a large initiative for us the past few years."

The 100 Best Companies winners are determined each year based on results of employee surveys from each of the nominated companies. Employees are asked to rate their company on everything from healthcare benefits to corporate culture and can provide comments on how they feel the company is doing on these aspects. The surveys are compiled by a third-party research firm and the results are presented to a panel of judges who determine the final top 100 lists for the categories of Large Companies, Large Companies Headquartered Outside Washington, Midsize Companies, Small Companies and Nonprofits Organizations.

Winners were announced and recognized on June 17, 2010 at the 20th Annual Best Companies to Work For celebration. A complete list of winners can be found at www.seattlebusinessmag.com.
