East Ridge Retirement Village Announces Enhancement Plan

MIAMI, April 3, 2008 East Ridge Retirement Villageannounced today a major project that will bring the most significantenhancements to the community since it was built in the mid-1960s, thanks toan affiliation with SantaFe HealthCare of Gainesville, a leader in health careservices and senior living.

Planning for Phase 1, which includes a new state-of-the-art Health Centerand upgraded facilities and dining venues for the entire campus, is underwayand construction will begin as quickly as permitting and pre-constructionactivities allow. The Health Center will consist of new assisted livingapartments, skilled nursing units, memory support apartments, therapy,wellness and other health related amenities.

Phase 2, which will add new apartment homes and additional communityenhancements such as a spa, wellness and fitness programs, studio and eventsspace and an auditorium, is scheduled to begin at the completion of Phase 1 in2010.

The project adds 125 new apartment homes, replacing 30 of the 248 existingapartments on campus. Upon completion, the community will feature 343independent living apartment homes and cottages, 60 new assisted livingapartments, 16 new memory support apartments and 48 new skilled nursing units.

All skilled nursing units and memory support apartments will be providedin private rooms, and the assisted living apartments will be offered in one-and two-bedroom suites to accommodate couples.

Additionally, the project will include a refreshed entranceway to thecommunity, maintain significant green spaces, add new landscaping and featurethe beautiful center campus esplanade of lush local foliage.
