LOS ANGELES, July 13 The American Board of Phlebology has announced that Dr. Gholam Mohammad-Zadeh has earned board certification in the specialty of phlebology from the American Board of Phlebology. Dr. Mohammad-Zadeh was first board certified by the ABPh in June of 2009. This is the second class of Diplomats for ABPh, which now includes an exclusive group of 412 Diplomats nationwide.
It's with great pride that we announce this accomplishment by Dr. Mohammad-Zadeh. His certification with the American Board of Phlebology is a direct reflection of his skill, knowledge, and experience in providing quality patient care, and his continued commitment to the advancement of vein care. To become board certified is truly an accomplishment. Less than 1% of all phlebology professionals in the U.S. have earned certification from the ABPh.
To become an ABPh diplomat, an applicant must complete the requisite training or experience qualifications, meet the continued medical education requisites, and pass a stringent certification examination. Certification periods are ten years and maintenance is dependent on the ability of the diplomat to display competency in four areas of assessment: evidence of professional standing, evidence of commitment to lifelong-learning and periodic self-assessment, evidence of cognitive expertise, evaluation of performance in practice.
Dr. Mohammad-Zadeh is one of the head surgeons at the Renaissance Laser and Vein Clinic, located in Thousand Oaks and Encino, CA. The Renaissance Clinic specializes in the administration of laser treatments for varicose vein removal, spider vein removal, skin irregularities (such as blemishes, wrinkles, acne, freckles), and laser hair removal. Through his extensive medical residencies at institutions such as UC San Diego and his board certification in both general and cardiovascular surgery, Dr. Mohammad-Zadeh has become a trustworthy name for quality laser treatments in Southern California.
