SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., April 8 Discover France Adventures, http://www.discoverfrance.com, the leaders and specialists in France for cycling and hiking tours, announces the 'piece de resistance' for summer 2010.

The company is offering a series of VIP tours that follow the same route as the Tour de France and along the way give exclusive on-site access to the world's top cycling luminaries. Discover France Adventures is one of only four companies worldwide licensed as Official Tour Operators for the upcoming season's Tour de France that begins July 3, 2010. For details please see: http://www.discoverfrance.com/tour-de-france.html.

"Our VIP guests will have the opportunity to make contact with top pro riders and go up on the podium before the stage and GC winners. They literally get to bike along the same routes the great names in cycling are racing just a few hours behind them, and this year's Tour will pit some legendary names in a head-to-head battle that shouldn't be missed," said Loren Siekman, President.

Of the three VIP cycling tours offered for this year's Tour de France, only the Alpes VIP trip has space remaining. Other tours are available that follow the race, but space is expected to be sold by mid May 2010. This year's options (still with space) include:

"Our VIP Tour de France trips are very well priced," said Siekman, adding that there is still some space available for this trip of a lifetime.

Another Discover France trip offering called Domestique Tours offers similar Tour de France route experiences, but without the VIP behind-the-scenes access. The company also offers self-guided programs for the more independent traveler.

This France-based company is setting the bar in both VIP (special access) and regular self-guided tours throughout the European travel season as well as Paris-only and custom cycling and adventure packages.

"Another true advantage is that we are a French company with a U.S. office. The Tour de France is our home-grown experience and we have the staff and knowledge to run a superior trip that is truly French in all good definitions of the word," said Siekman.

Accommodations and meals during the tours are in 4-star hotels in scenic French locales. While cycling, Discover France Adventures provides all breakfasts, picnic lunches, professional cycling guides, support vehicles and motor coach transportation throughout the rides.

Discover France Adventures has been organizing bicycle tours and hiking tours in France since 1994 and has offices in both the USA and in France. Discover France Adventures' award winning tours are made up of their unique, self-guided tours and very competitively priced guided tours. They are proud to be a Carbon Neutral travel provider, and a continued supporter of Sustainable Travel International.
