CAMPBELL, Calif., Feb. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Dicom Systems (www.dcmsys.com) a Silicon Valley-based healthcare IT company and Teleradiology interoperability expert today announced its participation in the HIMSS17 Interoperability Showcase. The redesigned HIMSS Interoperability Showcase is a premier 34,000-sq-ft HIMSS experience that displays, in real time, the exchange and use of data through interoperability profiles and standards with live products currently in the marketplace. As part of Public Health Reporting demonstration, Dicom Systems, along with partner collaborators, will highlight the value of standard based interoperability.

At the end of January Dicom Systems attended IHE Connectathon in Cleveland, OH, where the team spent several days working with CDC, Cerner, Epic, GE and other vendors, preparing for the event.

"We were impressed with the level of collaboration, openness and collegial atmosphere between participants that we've witnessed at Connectathon," said Florent Saint-Clair, Executive Vice President at Dicom Systems. "As a result we now have bidirectional workflows setup successfully between Dicom Systems, GE and Epic; we are ready to show the Dicom Systems Unifier platform as the enterprise imaging contributor in a live cancer-related simulation at the HIMSS 2017 Interoperability Showcase."

All HIMSS attendees are cordially invited to visit Interoperability Showcase booth 9000 and explore all the Use Cases.

In their own Booth (4879), Dicom Systems will be showcasing its core products:

Enterprise Imaging Workflow Unifier®: this powerful integration engine that enables communications between various Health IT platforms.

Unifier Archive, a natively Vendor-Neutral Archive: Unifier VNA helps end-users to consolidate disparate imaging systems into one repository, while providing enterprise-wide access to all medical images and medical records.

Enterprise-Class DICOM Modality Worklist: leveraging DICOMweb and FHIR, the Workflow Unifier allows the inclusion of visible light image capture devices in DMWL workflows, which have historically been off-limits for non-traditional imaging equipment.

"Originally unveiled at RSNA'16, the next generation of Enterprise-Class DICOM Modality Worklist from Dicom Systems generated a lot of interest," said Dmitriy Tochilnik, Chief Technology Officer of Dicom Systems. "Since launching our standalone Enterprise Modality Worklist, we've deployed several large-scale instances of the solution in Florida, Pennsylvania, California and Alaska."

HIMSS17 will take place in Orlando, FL from February 19 – 23 and will be located at the Orange County Convention Center (West Building). To see a live demo of Dicom Systems products, visit company's Booth 4879. For more information, email [email protected].
